“Everything is Energy”
Albert Einstein

What is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese traditional practice, which claims to use energy forces to harmonize individuals with their surrounding environment. It’s a practice based on the idea that our homes are a mirror of what is happening inside us.

Purpose of Feng Shui

The purpose of Feng Shui is to get your environment in alignment with who you are and where you want to go – to harmonize your energy with your home’s energy.

Taking charge of the energy of your spaces, a major component of practicing Feng Shui, lets us live in the present, lead a more fulfilling life, and let go of things – and people – from our past that diminish our self-worth.

Whenever you rearrange furniture, hang up pictures or redecorate a room, you are practicing Feng Shui. You change your environment and thus the energy flow and vibration within the home.

Decluttering – a core principle of Feng Shui

One of the core principles of Feng Shui decoration is clearing clutter.
Clutter represents stagnant energy and can hinder the flow of positive energy (Qi) in your space. Start your spring-cleaning by decluttering your environment, getting rid of items that no longer serve a purpose or hold sentimental value. By creating a clutter-free space, you allow energy to circulate freely, promoting a sense of calmness and harmony.

Without clutter, focus improves, stress lowers, and energy increases

What does decluttering do to the psyche?

Decluttering ensures that you get rid of unnecessary clutter. Not only will you get rid of unnecessary items, but also of mental baggage.

So, whether you believe in Feng Shui or not, decluttering has always a beneficial effect on your environment and yourself.
