There are two beaches in Aegina town: Avra and Panagitsa. Panagitsa is south-east of the town, just past the Church of Panagitsa which dominates the waterfront. “Babis” and “Dromaki” restaurants are here, open daily from early in the morning until late. In the north west is Avra, next to the Archaeological Museum.
Agia Marina
This organised shallow-water sandy beach is the biggest on the island. You can hire paddle boats and canoes or play volleyball in the water! Some of the best options are the “Barracuda” tropical bar and the “Galaris” and “Akrogiali” ouzeries. This beach is ideal for families with kids. The rocks and clear waters around the picturesque harbour are also great for a swim. Located there is “Thalassa”, with tables at the water’s edge, “Compass” and “Kyriakakis“, with a panoramic view of the bay. On the other side of Agia Marina harbour, you’ll find small bays, with deeper waters for diving. Just before the Apollo Hotel, you will find “Sotos” Café-Bar in a captivating spot where pine trees approach the rocks. The perfect place for diving into the deep.
